At the beginning of this year our company established cooperation with the European Association of Abnormal Road Transport and Mobile Cranes (ESTA). Thus, we participated in Section Cranes and Transport Meetings, which took place in April in Amsterdam. ESTA ceremonial gala, from the right: President Paweł Drabczyński, Transport Section Executive of the Polish Heavy Transport Association (OSPTN) Łukasz Chwalczuk and Jakub Mikuś (OSPTN).
It wasn’t our first meeting in the heavy transport branch. Last year we joined the Federal German association for the transport of heavy loads and crane work (BSK) in European German speaking countries. As a result we took part in a member meeting in Darmstadt. The main theme of this year’s Transport Section in Amsterdam was German idea of creating special transport corridors for heavy transport vehicles.
Wolfgang Draaf, CEO of BSK presented new opportunities and challenges for heavy transport in Europe. As in Germany, during ESTA meeting we also promoted our solutions dedicated to heavy goods vehicles – multiTPMS System, which ensures immediate inspection of pressure and temperature in even 480 wheels. Our solution met with great interest among carriers from different European countries. It was really nice to meet in Amsterdam representatives of Polish companies being ESTA members, like: Port Technical Comapany in Gdańsk, Peter Star from Szydłowiec, ZTE from Siemianowice Śląskie and International Road Transport Kazimierz Skuratowicz (MTD) from Niemodlin. During ceremonial Evening Gala, MTD company from Niemodlin – a private transport and forwarding company was awarded a special ESTA prize in the category „Transport, Trailer and Load over 120 tonnes GCW”. Like other Polish companies we were glad of such significant award for the domestic company.
